The FBI is supposed to be an organization that protects the American people and upholds the Constitution of the United States. That is the mission statement they display on their website FBI.gov. Unfortunately for myself and millions of other Americans we don’t believe the FBI does a good job adhering to that mission statement and we don’t believe it is their intention to.
In my opinion the FBI has become a secret police agency not much different than the Cheka, the NKVD or the Stasi. The FBI has become a hyper-politicized organization that seeks to stifle free speech and create an atmosphere of terror and paranoia. Especially amongst groups that disagree with the direction and values of the Neoliberal American regime. People involved with certain groups are scared to death to meet up with like-minded individuals because they fear they might be meeting up with an undercover FBI agent who will try to rope them into a terrorist plot. This is supposed to be America, the land of free speech, not the Soviet Union. The FBI is an organization that works closely with the ADL to allegedly “fight crime, terrorism and educate law enforcement.” The ADL is an organization that is obsessed with portraying “White Supremacists” AKA any white person who doesn’t hate their own race as terrorists or potential terrorists in the making. The ADL doesn’t have much concern about any other kinds of problems that might exist in the world. It sums up the character of the FBI and the political nature of the FBI when you look at the groups they work with such as the ADL.
In February of this year, the FBI elevated racially-motivated violent extremism, namely White Supremacy to a top-level national threat priority. The FBI does not consider left wing terrorism as a top priority threat and FBI director, Christopher Wray even said that ANTIFA is “more of an ideology than an organization”. It doesn’t matter that ANTIFA has websites like itsgoingdown.org and numerous social media accounts designed to recruit members and plan events. These groups openly encourage their members to dox people, get them fired from their jobs, they encourage mob violence, and they act out on it. ANTIFA has spent the last few months of this year burning down entire cities such as Kenosha, throwing Molotov cocktails at police officers, creating independent nations within the United States and murdering people who wear Pro-Trump paraphernalia. The FBI simply looks the other way when it comes to ANTIFA and far left extremism. Because frankly, they really don’t care about protecting the American people.
There is also the phenomenon of “manufactured terrorism” which the FBI is notorious for. The FBI targets young individuals beset with drug, criminal and mental health issues and attempts to rope them into terror plots using dirty tricks and shady business. The FBI provides all of the money, weapons and organization needed to carry out a terrorist attack and then they attempt to get poor and mentally ill individuals to agree to take part in it. That is when the FBI swoops in to arrest the suspect and claim they foiled an inevitable terrorist attack. One of the most prominent examples of this is the 2009 Bronx terrorism plot.
In recent years the FBI has shifted their focus to running sting operations on White Nationalist and right wing Libertarian groups more so than Islamic Jihadi groups. In January of 2020, FBI informants arrested 3 members of an organization called “The Base” after infiltrating their group chats and roping them into a murder plot. In October, 13 suspects were arrested after agreeing to take part in a kidnapping of Michigan governor, Gretchen Whitmer. It is safe to assume that the FBI was deeply involved in this due to the highly intricate details of the plot as well as their long history of entrapment operations.
There is also evidence the FBI covered up Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes and reversed their decision to federally prosecute him because he cooperated with authorities on other matters.
While I will not go as far to say that the FBI is just as bad as the Cheka, an organization in which it was commonplace to carry out violence and torture without any judicial oversight, or a number of secret police agencies throughout history, I will say that the FBI is highly ideological and they are ultimately making this country more dangerous and less free just like the Cheka and the NKVD did for the USSR. The FBI is drunk on power and there needs to be reform to the organization. The slogan “defund the police” took off earlier this year and has been embedded into the collective American conscious. Perhaps we need to consider defunding the FBI as well.
